Description

These comprehensive ANS Management Plans identify technical, enforcement, or financial assistance activities needed to eliminate or reduce the environmental and public health and safety risks associated with ANS. ANS Management Plans focus on feasible, cost-effective management practices and measures to be undertaken by States to prevent and control ANS infestations in an environmentally sound manner. Once an ANS Management Plan is reviewed and approved by the ANS Task Force, the Act authorizes the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service) to provide cost-share grants for the implementation of the approved plans. https://am.grantsolutions.gov/foa/foaContent.era?foaId=12405&menu_itemPath=91008This Program has a two-stage application process (see sections D2 and E2, for more details). Stage One - the “Preliminary National Review” - is managed by the Service Headquarters office. The pre-proposal process will occur outside of Grant Solutions similar to how it has occurred in the past; for 2021, pre-proposals are due 3 weeks after posting of the NOFO. Stage Two - the “Regional Office Review and Grant Processing” - is managed by the Service Regional Offices (See the program administration contacts under section G below).
