Description

The Public Affairs Section (PAS) of the U.S. Consulate in Karachi is pleased to announce an open competition seeking proposals for a grant, contingent on funding, to establish a university partnership between one or more accredited U.S. four-year universities and the University of Sindh and/or Shah Abdul Latif University. Accredited four-year institutions meeting the provisions described in Internal Revenue Code section 26 USC 501(c)(3) are eligible and encouraged to apply. Under this Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO), PAS seeks proposals that will strengthen the research capacity and advance a culture of research at these Pakistani institutions, while promoting minority inclusion and establishing international linkages for follow-on collaboration. Proposals should address how activities will impart greater understanding of contemporary research issues, improve research methods, facilitate faculty development, and promote inclusive environments for minority scholars and students. Proposals have a funding floor of $30,000 and a funding ceiling of $100,000 for a project of up to an 18-month duration.
