This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) invites grant applications to study mechanisms underlying the neuropathophysiology of HIV-associated neurological disorders (HAND) using induced microglia and cerebral organoids generated from human derived induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) lines. Specific emphasis is on the comorbidity of HIV and neural stimulants, including amphetamine, methamphetamine, cocaine, and nicotine, studied at the single cell and neural circuits levels.
