This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) aims to stimulate the pre-clinical development of novel, pharmacotherapeutic candidates to selectively counteract opioid induced respiratory depression (OIRD), without blocking opioid analgesic benefits or inducing acute opioid withdrawal.
