Honduras USAID-Tegucigalpa

Description

The USAID Agricultural Enterprise Development Alliance will expand access to capital and business development services for agri-SMEs, as a means to increase their revenues and sustainably connect 50,000 farmers with global markets. USAID investments will improve market linkages for at least 50,000 smallholder farmers and increase income by an average of 50 percent for a minimum of 10,000 households. The Alliance will expand market access and boost incomes by: (1) facilitating a minimum $80 million in loans to agri-SMEs with high-growth potential; (2) increasing productivity and profitability through the expansion of agroforestry and other climate-smart agricultural practices; (3) improving business management and service capacities and efficiencies, including through the use of digital tools; and (4) diversifying on- and off-farm sources of household income. USAID’s contribution to this four-year Global Development Alliance (GDA) will not exceed $7 million and is subject to the availability of funds.
