The U.S. Geological Survey’s MD-DE-DC Water Science Center is offering a funding opportunity to a CESU partner for research to provide metagenomic and bioinformatics analyses of environmental/experimental samples associated with contamination of halogenated compounds, including chlorinated solvents, PCBs, and per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), and to collaborate on using microbial data and processes to evaluate potential fate and mitigation of halogenated contaminants in stormwater infrastructure.
