Description

The Fiscal Year (FY) 2022 Presidential Residence Protection Assistance (PRPA) Grant Program will provide federal funds to reimburse state and local law enforcement agencies (LEAs) and emergency management agencies (EMAs) for extraordinary law enforcement or other emergency personnel costs incurred while protecting any non-governmental residence of the President that is designated or identified to be secured by the United States Secret Service (USSS) in accordance with Section 528 of the Department of Homeland Security Appropriations Act, 2022, which states in part: SEC. 528. (a) For an additional amount for "Federal Emergency Management Agency --Federal Assistance", $3,000,000, to remain available until September 30, 2023, exclusively for providing reimbursement of extraordinary law enforcement or other emergency personnel costs for protection activities directly and demonstrably associated with any residence of the President that is designated or identified to be secured by the United States Secret Service.
