OJP is committed to advancing work that promotes civil rights and racial equity, increases access to justice, supports crime victims and individuals impacted by the justice system, strengthens community safety and protects the public from crime and evolving threats, and builds trust between law enforcement and the community. This solicitation describes the guidelines and requirements of the fiscal year (FY) 2023 State Justice Statistics (SJS) program for Statistical Analysis Centers (SACs). The information produced by SACs and their involvement in criminal justice projects is important to federal, state, and local criminal justice agencies and community organizations as they develop programs and policies related to crime, illegal drugs, victim services, and the administration of justice.
