Chesapeake Bay Program Office Fiscal Year 2023 Request for Applications for: Chesapeake Bay Watershed Modeler
ArchivedEnvironmental Protection Agency
Description
This Request for Applications (RFA) is seeking insightful, expert, and cost-effective applications from eligible applicants to apply a state-of-the-science, fine-scale Watershed Model (WSM) of the Chesapeake watershed. The purpose of the WSM is to assess the Chesapeake Bay watershed flows and nutrient-sediment loads under all conditions of watershed management and under existing and future climate conditions. The WSM scenarios, as directed by Chesapeake Bay decision-makers, will provide support for management strategies to achieve Chesapeake Bay TMDL water quality standards. Achievement of the Chesapeake TMDL water quality standards under 2035 climate conditions will be assessed by the Phase 7 WSM now under development. The Phase 7 WSM will be completed and fully operational by December 2025.
