Description

USDA/FAS works to collaborate with U.S. government agencies, international organizations, and non-governmental organizations, and industry to promote U.S. products of biotechnologies and understanding and acceptance of agricultural biotechnologies, including new initiatives related to the technology.The goals of this program are to support science-based decision making within regional economic communities across Africa and by their respective member states. Activities should assist in national development, implementation, or enforcement of regional or continent-wide adopted guidelines, recommendations, and/or policies that are consistent with international science-based standards.
