ArchivedCenters for Disease Control - CGH
Description
The purpose of this NOFO is to increase immunization program capacity in high priority countries and targeted sub-national areas to identify underserved populations and develop tailored interventions to vaccinate underserved populations; implement comprehensive vaccine preventable disease (VPD) surveillance systems; improve preparedness and response to outbreaks of VPDs; and strengthen quality and sustainability of immunization delivery systems. This cooperative agreement will address targeted sub-national areas in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Brazil, Indonesia, and the Philippines. Applicants may apply to work in one or more countries and must indicate the country/countries in their application. Work conducted under this NOFO will be critical to achieve VPD control, elimination, and eradication targets (i.e., polio eradication, measles and rubella elimination, hepatitis B elimination, maternal and neonatal tetanus elimination) and more broadly reduce VPD-related morbidity and mortality.
