OJP is committed to advancing work that promotes civil rights and racial equity, increases access to justice, supports crime victims and individuals impacted by the justice system, strengthens community safety, protects the public from crime and evolving threats, and builds trust between law enforcement and the community. With this solicitation, NIJ seeks to support the original goals of NIJ Fiscal Year (FY) 2020 competitive grant solicitation—Longitudinal Research on Delinquency and Crime. NIJ awarded Grant # 2020-MU-MU-0017 to the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) to support the project Life Course and Intergenerational Effects of Criminal Justice Involvement: Identifying Risks, the Search for Resilience, and the Impact of Rise in Opioid Misuse and the COVID-19 Pandemic. This invitation is for an application to support the continued data collection under this project by the research team now led by Florida State University (FSU) along with its subrecipient partners Pennsylvania State University and Colorado State University.
