Description

The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), Southwest Biological Science Center (SBSC) is offering a funding opportunity to a CESU partner for research in modelling of potential dust emissions and dispersion from the Lake Powell and Lake Mead Reservoir shorelines.The goal of this project is to promote cooperation between the USGS and a university affiliated with the USGS Colorado Plateau CESU in order to support the development of integrated dust emission and dispersion model predictions for the shorelines of the two largest reservoirs in the Colorado River Basin to inform decision making about potential natural resource and human health impacts of water use, regulation, and policy decisions.
