Description

The CDLPI discretionary grant program assists States in complying with the Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) requirements outlined in the 49 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Parts 383 and 384, improves a State’s implementation of its CDL program and supports projects that improve CDL programs and motor vehicle safety at a national level.

  • Public and State controlled institutions of higher education
  • Native American tribal governments (Federally recognized)
  • Nonprofits with 501(c)(3) status (other than higher education)
  • Private institutions of higher education
  • For-profit organizations other than small businesses
  • Small businesses
