The National Cancer Institute (NCI) intends to issue a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO), the Academic Career Excellence (ACE) Award (K32 - Independent Clinical Trial Required).Beginning with an anticipated first due date on June 12, 2025, cancer research training support for late-stage graduate students and early-stage postdoctoral scholars will be available through the�"Academic Career Excellence (ACE) Award (K32)".The ACE award is designed to support early postdoctoral training in cancer research that will expand the scientific research and career development experience of the applicant from their predoctoral training.The candidates for this award must be within 12 months of transitioning to their postdoctoral position, or within the first two years of their postdoctoral training to apply for this award (resubmissions included). The candidate must have identified a postdoctoral research group and developed a strong research and training plan prior to, or shortly after, starting with that mentor.
