Secretary’s Forecast Summary CDC-RFA-PS07-719 CDC’s Procurement and Grants Office has published a program announcement entitled, “University Technical Assistance Projects Aimed at Expanding the Delivery of HIV and AIDS Treatment and Care, Strengthening Systems and Improving the Quality of Care in the Republic of South Africa under the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief.” Approximately $2,000,000 will be available in fiscal year 2007 to fund approximately four awards to indigenous South African universities, medical schools and nursing colleges that are implementing HIV- and AIDS-related activities. The purpose of the program is to provide financial and programmatic assistance for HIV and AIDS prevention, care and treatment programs in South Africa.
