I. Funding Opportunity DescriptionThe U.S. Department of Labor (USDOL), Bureau of International Labor Affairs (ILAB), announces the availability of funds to be awarded by Cooperative Agreement (hereinafter referred to as “grant” or “Cooperative Agreement”) to one qualifying organization to support job placement of PWDs in the Costa Rican labor market through three objectives; increased employer awareness about the benefits of hiring PWDs, increased access to job training and computer adaptive technology for PWDs, and increased capacity of local organizations to provide case management of PWD training and job placement. ILAB is authorized to award and administer this program by the Revised Continuing Appropriations Resolution, 2007, P. L. No. 110-5, 121 Stat. 8 (2007). Cooperative Agreements awarded under this initiative will be managed by ILAB’s Office of Trade and Labor Affairs. The duration of the project funded by this solicitation is two to three years. The start date of program activities will be negotiated upon award of the Cooperative Agreement, but will be no later than September 30, 2008.
