Description
The Bureau of Land Management, California State Office, intends to award a cooperative agreement with the Student Conservation Corps to SCA students will assist BLM by working with community members to develop “defensible space” and create a “Home Ignition Zone” on private property, especially in areas where private property boarder public lands. The intent is to select a recipient that uses crew members who are young adults (approximately ages 18-26). The goal is also to use crewmembers who have an interest in the outdoors and who may want to continue working in the natural resource and/or wildland fire field. The members will gain experience and training in natural resource and wildland fire
