Antelope Creek Juvenile Fish Passage Improvement
ArchivedFish and Wildlife Service
Description
Funding is available through the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Anadromous Fish Restoration Program to complete environmental documentation, permits, and design of a solution to minimize juvenile salmonid entrainment into the Edwards and Los Molinos diversion ditches at Edwards dam. Currently, the Los Molinos Mutual Water Company and Edwards diversion ditches are screened; however no system was installed during screen construction to minimize juvenile salmonid entrainment. The screens are located a fair distance down the diversions. One factor that complicates this facility is New Creek, an overflow channel, runs between the two diversion ditches.
