Assets for Independence Demonstration Program

Description
The Administration for Children and Families (ACF), Office of Community Services (OCS), invites non-profit organizations; State, local and Tribal government entities; credit unions (including Low-Income Credit Unions); Community Development Financial Institutions; and other eligible entities to submit applications for grants to support and administer Assets For Independence projects as part of the national Assets for Independence program. Due dates for Fiscal Year 2010 funding are January 15, 2010, March 25, 2010 and June 25, 2010. The announcement is re-published and modifications are made to Section IV.3 Explanation of Due Dates and Times.

- Public and State controlled institutions of higher education
- Native American tribal governments (Federally recognized)
- Public housing authorities / Indian housing authorities
- Native American tribal organizations (other than Federally recognized)
- Nonprofits with 501(c)(3) status (other than higher education)
- Private institutions of higher education
