CDC’s Procurement and Grants Office has published a program announcement entitled, “Division of Global Public Health Capacity Development Pakistan FELTP-Infectious Disease Surveillance, Investigation, and Technical Assistance.” Approximately 1,000,000 will be available in fiscal year 2009 to fund approximately one award. The purpose of this Cooperative Agreement is to strengthen the expertise of the Pakistan Ministry of Health, to implement public health programs and strengthen the practice of public health including epidemiological surveillance systems, laboratory diagnosis and response capacity for priority public health diseases and health conditions throughout Pakistan.
