Description

-Purpose. This FOA issued by the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), National Institutes on Health, encourages Research Project Grant (R24) applications from institutions that historically and/or currently serve students from diverse and disadvantaged backgrounds that aim to increase their capacity to conduct drug abuse and addiction research. The applications should propose to foster the research career development of a diverse cadre of faculty, students and staff who are currently underrepresented in drug abuse research, and to enhance research infrastructure at the institution.-Mechanism of Support. This FOA utilizes the R24 mechanism. -Funds Available and Anticipated Number of Awards. Funding is available in the amount of up to $350,000 per year in direct costs. The number of awards supported will depend on the number and scientific merit of the proposals received.
