Description

-Purpose. The purpose of this funding opportunity announcement (FOA) is to encourage submission of research grant applications on fatigue and fatigability in aging. Both animal models and humans are appropriate for study under this FOA. -Mechanism of Support. This FOA will use the NIH Research Project Grant (R01) award mechanism and runs in parallel with a FOA of identical scientific scope, PA-08-162, that encourages applications under the Exploratory/Developmental (R21) grant mechanism. -Funds Available and Anticipated Number of Awards.
