Secretary’s Forecast Summary CDC-RFA-PS09-005CDC’s Procurement and Grants Office has published a program announcement entitled, “Demonstration Project of Elective Adult Male Circumcision Conducted in Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD) Clinics in the United States.” Approximately $155,000 will be available in fiscal year 2009 to fund approximately 2 awards. The purpose of the program is to monitor male circumcision as an effective intervention in reducing the risk of male acquisition of HIV through penile-vaginal sex in populations with high heterosexual HIV incidence.
