Description

Purpose.This FOA issued by the National Institute on Aging (NIA), National Institutes of Health, supports new and renewal applications for Claude D. Pepper Older Americans Independence Centers (OAICs) (centers of excellence in geriatrics research and training). Mechanism of Support. This FOA will utilize the P30 Center Core Grants award. Funds Available and Anticipated Number of Awards. The total amount to be awarded is approximately $2.9 million in FY2009 and $1.5 M in FY2010.The anticipated number of awards is four new and/or renewal OAICs.
