CDC’s Procurement and Grants Office has published a funding opportunity announcement entitled, “Program to Enhance State Public Health Laboratory Capacity for Newborn Bloodspot Screening (U01)” Approximately $300,000 will be available in fiscal year 2009 to fund 2 awards. The purpose of this announcement is to solicit applications from applicant organizations that propose to conduct research to improve any of the currently recommended newborn screening tests (primary and secondary panel conditions).
