Purpose of Program: The purpose of the Alaska Native Education program is to support innovative projects that enhance the educational services provided to Alaska Native children and adults. These projects may include those activities authorized under section 7304(a)(2) and (3) of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965, as amended (ESEA). Note: The construction of facilities that support the operation of Alaska Native education programs will be a permissible activity only if Congress specifically authorizes the use of FY 2009 funds for that purpose. Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA) Number: 84.356A.
