Description
This funding opportunity announcement (FOA) solicits applications to advance the understanding of comorbidities associated with Down syndrome by addressing important research gaps. Two priority public health research areas that address critical gaps in knowledge have been identified for this FOA: 1) understanding comorbidities among children and adolescents with Down syndrome and how risk and preventive factors (including health care utilization) impact their occurrence; and 2) assessing the impact of Down syndrome on growth, including length/height, weight, head circumference, and body mass index.
