Description
New Jersey NRCS requests applications for Conservation Innovation Grants (CIG) to stimulate the development and adoption of innovative conservation approaches and technologies. Applications are accepted for projects located in New Jersey only. NRCS anticipates that the amount available for support of this program in FY 2009 will be approximately $212,000. Funds will be awarded through a statewide competitive grants process. There are two state CIG categories available in FY 2009: Natural Resource Concerns Category and Technology Category. Applications are requested from eligible individuals, government or non-government organizations for competitive consideration of grant awards for projects between one and three years in duration. This notice identifies the objectives for CIG projects, the eligibility criteria for projects and associated instructions needed to apply to CIG. Applications due by 4:00 p.m. on May 15, 2009.
