2009 Fisheries Extension Transition

Description

The sixteen (16) state Sea Grant programs thatreceived fiscal year 2003 through 2008 Fisheries Extension Enhancement (FEE)Initiative funding are hereby notified by the National Sea Grant Office (NSGO) of itsintent to competitively award additional two-year, state-based projects. The NSGO'sfive-year commitment to enhance fisheries extension efforts will end on April 30,2009 and such transitional funding will insure that the institutional capacity builtunder the FEE Initiative is retained through an orderly transition from NSGO to otherfunding sources. Up to eighteen awards, with a median value of about $80,000, are expected to bemade. Maximum allowable award size varies among applicants as detailed in section II.A of the Full Funding Opportunity.
