Description
This announcement is for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Region 9 FY2009 project support for the conservation of birds, with a special emphasis on species on the Birds of Conservation Concern, 2008. This particular project will address the population status of the roselaari subspecies of the red knot. Project proposals should focus on developing mark-recapture techniques to estimate population size of Pacific coast migrants, with a focus on red knots passing through coastal Washington. Proposals will be evaluated by the National Shorebird Coordinator.
