Description

The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Natural Resources Conservation Service in Vermont requests applications for Conservation Innovation Grants to stimulate the development and adoption of innovative conservation approaches and technologies. For FY 2009, up to $192,000 is available for the VT State CIG competition. Funds will be awarded through a statewide competitive grants process. This VT state CIG has four categories of natural resources concerns and technology needs for possible funding. The categories are: atmospheric resources, farm and forest energy production, maintaining working landscapes sustainably, and soil and water resources. Applications will only be accepted form entities in VT for projects that will take place in the state of VT. Project proposals must be received either electronically through grants.gov or delivered to the NRCS VT State Office by 4PM EDT on Monday, May 11, 2009.
