CDC’s Procurement and Grants Office has published a program announcement entitled, “Providing Technical Assistance for the Implementation and Expansion of Blood Safety Activities in the Republic of Kenya under the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief.” Approximately $2,000,000 will be available to fund approximately one award. The purpose of the program is to provide expert guidance and technical assistance to National Blood Transfusion Services (NBTS) and Ministry of Medical Services in the provision of a safe and sufficient blood supply to health facilities in Kenya.
