Description
The purpose of this funding opportunity announcement is to increase knowledge of HIV status among Kenyans, through an expanded community HIV testing and counseling (HTC) program, with the aim of achieving universal knowledge of HIV status in the country as soon as possible. Expanding HTC services in the community will ultimately lead to HTC services becoming more acceptable, accessible and affordable to all Kenyans. HHS/CDC Kenya, in conjunction with other U.S. Government agencies, is supporting the Government of the Republic of Kenya and non-governmental agencies in the expansion of HIV prevention, care and treatment throughout the country. Achievement of universal knowledge of HIV status will lead to a reduction in HIV transmission and increased access to HIV/AIDS prevention, care and treatment services.
