CDC’s Procurement and Grants Office has published a program announcement entitled, “Community Outreach and Social Mobilization for Prevention of Sexual HIV Transmission and Integrating Sexual Prevention in Care and Treatment in the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia under the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief.” Approximately $1,428,750 will be available to fund approximately one award. The purpose of the program is to invite potential partners to design and implement social and community mobilization HIV/AIDS prevention interventions to intensify the comprehensive nationwide response to HIV/AIDS by increase knowledge, a shared sense of urgency, increased community ownership and involvement at the community level, and increased utilization of HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment, care and support services.
