Description

CDC’s Procurement and Grants Office has published a program announcement entitled, “World Health Organization Stop TB Initiative: Expanding Efforts and Strategies to Prevent and Control Tuberculosis and TB/HIV.” Approximately $200,000 will be available in fiscal year 2009 to fund approximately one award to the World Health Organization (WHO). The purpose of the program is to assist WHO’s Stop TB Initiative in implementing activities to assist national governments, regional authorities, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), private and public health care systems, donors and other interested partners to develop, establish, and coordinate systems and procedures to strengthen TB treatment and control efforts worldwide.
