Secretary’s Forecast Summary CDC-RFA-PS09-9130 CDC’s Procurement and Grants Office has published a program announcement entitled, “Strengthening the Delivery and Quality of Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI) Prevention and Control Programs through Enhanced Laboratory-Based STI Surveillance, Case Management and Program Evaluations in the Republic of South Africa.” Approximately $300,000 will be available to fund approximately one award. The purpose of the program is to strengthen capacity of the National STI program in South Africa, and thus underlying Provincial, District and Municipal programs, to enhance HIV prevention by improving prevention and control of sexually transmitted infections (STIs). The estimated funding date is prior to August 1, 2009.
