Description
- For VITA-2010 applications will not be accepted if submitted through Grants.gov - This is a matching grant opportunity to enable the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, which uses your volunteers to prepare and file federal tax returns electronically, to extend services to underserved populations in hardest-to-reach areas, both urban and non-urban; increase the capacity to prepare and file federal tax returns electronically; heighten quality control; enhance training of volunteers; and significantly improve the accuracy of returns prepared at VITA sites.
