Severe Repetitive Loss Pilot Program

Description
The SRL Program provides funding to reduce or eliminate the long-term risk of flood damage to severe repetitive loss structures insured under the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP). Participation in this program is voluntary. However, the SRL program differs from FEMA’s other mitigation grant programs in that those property owners who decline offers of mitigation assistance will be subject to increases to their insurance premium rates. Interested Applicants should consult Part III (A) of the FY 2010 Hazard Mitigation Assistance (HMA) Grant Program Guidance. Projects or initiatives that are eligible for funding under this announcement may or may not involve Geospatial (GIS) issues.
