Description
Carry out baseline assessments of carbon stocks and distributions and incorporate these assessments into federal GIS databases that include spatial representation of historical forest treatments and wildfire impacts; carry out a series of exercises with these spatial databases that examine the implications of potentially including carbon cycle considerations in federal land management policy; and develop briefing documents in support of San Juan Public Lands Center efforts to obtain substantial new federal funding for inclusion of carbon cycle science into the land management planning framework.
