Archived

Department of the Interior

Description

The primary objective of this work is to implement the data collection, analysis and compilation of invasive species on areas previously impacted by wildfire occurrences on BLM managed lands. The work would be carried out under the guidelines of a Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit (CESU). The partner collects, validates, and distributes this information and assists natural resource managers and others in applying it effectively. BLM continues to identify invasive plant occurrences and treatment effectiveness. This work will help BLM improve their knowledge of invasive plant species research, technical assistance and educational components.
