THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD, AND THERE IS NO "FULL ANNOUNCEMENT" ASSOCIATED WITH THIS NOTICE. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service intents to award a grant agreement to the Avian Research and Conservation Institute in the amount of $77,500. The Service proposes to provide financial assistance in helping maintain progress on on-going efforts to conserve a list of priority species (Focal Species) as designated by the Service's Migratory Bird Program. Many of these species require research due to a lack of basic biological information. Others are currently being monitored but require additional efforts to establish current population status or trend Period of performance is form date of award through September 30, 2014. A determination by the Service not to compete this proposed assistance is in accordance with Departmental Policy 505 DM 2, paragraph 2.14(B)(2) and is solely within the discretion of the Service. This Notice is NOT a request for competitive proposals.
