Archived

Bureau of Population Refugees and Migration

Description

Programs will benefit refugees in Kenya. While PRM encourages activities that include the local host population, NGOs should concentrate on care/maintenance activities for refugees in a camp environment. At least 50% of beneficiaries must be refugees. Proposals may focus on protection, health (including support for disabled persons), water, sanitation, shelter, community services, psychosocial support, prevention of and response to gender-based violence, and livelihoods development (including education) and training. For more details on this specific opportunity, please click the "Full Announcement" Grants.gov link. For PRM's general NGO guildelines, please go to the Funding Opportunities page of PRM's website: http://www.state.gov/g/prm/c27111.htm. After you've read both documents, please contact Program Officer Janet Deutsch at 202-663-1031 (deutschje@state.gov) with any questions. Funding opportunity announcements and PRM's general NGO guidelines are also on PRM's website.
