Description

Purpose. The purpose of this announcement is to describe areas of research of particular interest to the National Institute on Aging. This FOA seeks to promote research that develops, characterizes, refines and enhances model systems for aging research, including but not limited to animal models, cell lines, and informatics. Mechanism of Support. This FOA will utilize the NIH Research Project Grant (R01) award mechanism and runs in parallel with another FOA of identical scientific scope, PA-10-015, that solicits applications under the Exploratory/Developmental Research Grant (R21) mechanism.
