Description of Funding Opportunity This project supports residencies for artists and arts managers from Central Europe, Eurasia, and Russia (the Region) at nonprofit arts organizations in the United States. Individuals selected to participate (Fellows) are provided with experiences relevant to their professional and creative goals. Residencies enable Fellows to develop and share their skills, expertise, and insights with artists and the broader community in the U.S. Scope of Work The Arts Endowment plans to award a Cooperative Agreement to an organization to: 1) Promote this residency opportunity to potential participants in the Region and to potential host sites in the United States. 2) Solicit and select up to 20 Fellows from the Region for five-week residencies in the U.S. The NEA will work with the Cooperator to determine the arts disciplines from which potential participants will be recruited. 3) Explore potential host residency sites in the U.S., and match selected Fellows with appropriate placements. 4) Administer the U.S.-based residencies including payments to the host sites for working and living expenses of the Fellows and logistical support. The Cooperator will work closely with the NEA Project Director on all phases of this project. Cooperative Agreement Amount The NEA expects to award one Cooperative Agreement of up to $200,000. The Cooperator must provide nonfederal matching funds of at least $100,000. Matching funds in excess of this minimum are encouraged. An organization may not receive more than one Arts Endowment award for the same project during the same or an overlapping period of support.
