CDC’s Procurement and Grants Office has published a funding opportunity announcement entitled, “Public Health Research on Spina Bifida (U01).” Approximately $ 250,000 will be available in fiscal year 2010 to fund 1 award. The purpose of this FOA is to advance folic acid and birth defects research by addressing important research gaps in our knowledge of neural tube defects (NTD).
