National Park Service Recovery Act Project - Chesapeake & Ohio Canal National Historical Park (CHOH), Hagerstown, MD --Youth corps personnel will work with Park Natural Resource Program Manager and Biologist to manage vegetation along CHOH which stretches 184.5 miles along the Potomac River from Georgetown in Washington,DC to Cumberland, MD. NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD: This award is being made in accordance with the approved streamlined competition procedures for youth projects under ARRA. The Student Conservation Association provides interns the opportunity to learn from resource management professionals and gain tangible skills and experience. Their technical capabilities and capacity to provide interns are ideally suited for the nature of the project.
