CDC’s Procurement and Grants Office has published a funding opportunity announcement entitled, “Developing Sustainable Influenza Surveillance Networks and Response to Avian and Pandemic Influenza by National Health Authorities outside the United States.” Approximately $ 800,000 will be available in fiscal year 2010 to fund two awards. The purpose of the program is to provide support and assistance to foreign governments who have successfully completed the five-year cooperative agreement PA AA117 and PA AA011 funded in FY 2005 to develop and implement a sustainability plan for influenza surveillance begun under that cooperative agreement.
