Description

The project will complete trail maintenance on about 75 miles of the PCNST. The project will also conduct a trail conditions assessment on about 60 miles of the PCNST managed by the Bakersfield Field Office. This segment of the PCNST traverses very rugged portions of the Sierra Nevada Mountains and the trail is subject to frequent erosion, washouts, and trail destabilization. This segment of the PCNST requires an assessment to identify corrective actions and to meet acceptable trail design standards.
