Description
The FY10 appropriations to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service will provide funding for the detection of highly pathogenic avian influenza in wild birds. Funding is available for coordinated surveillance efforts in the Atlantic and Mississippi Flyways, to be used specifically for: 1. The investigation of morbidity and mortality events in wild birds 2. Targeted avian influenza surveillance in live wild birds
